Hot here (again) in Michigan. I was told you could put a bunch of frozen water bottles in front of a fan and produce some cooling. Makes sense, since that’s what AC does. Lots of condensation, though, so have something under them to catch all the water. Fans by themselves don’t really cool although they promote evaporation of sweat.

That would make sense, but yeah something would be needed to catch the drips etc. Fans just redistribute the heat but I guess it's better than nowt on a hot day!!

For sure! Stay safe and hydrated!

Pop a hot water bottle in the freezer!

Great tips! I might also suggest, if you have access to unlimited ice (such as an ice maker in your freezer door), fill a sturdy bowl with ice and put THAT in front of your fan! I wouldn't necessarily recommend going out to buy ice just to melt it, though, because that could get expensive fast!

Sadly no ice maker here, but a great tip! Thanks 🧡

Perhaps it'll be helpful for someone that has one available.

Thoroughly enjoying the breeze we've had the last few days! The house has even cooled down slightly!! Hope you're getting breeze where you are! I'm going with electrolytes too, some caffeine and an electrolyte drink when I feel a migraine coming because of the heat often stops it going full blown!!!

Yes, there is a lovely light breeze today which is certainly helping! I don’t know how I coped without electrolytes!! 🧡
